MWFF Critics Lab 2019: Meet the critics!

We’re incredibly thrilled to announce the participants in this year’s MWFF Critics Lab.

Critics Lab is an initiative to support the next generation of Australian women-identified critics and to help them develop their skills in a festival setting. The MWFF Critics Lab aims to facilitate critical discussion, celebrate established critics and mentor emerging talent.

Keep an eye out for these fabulous emerging critics at MWFF2019!

Liza Dezfouli

Liza Dezfouli reviews film for ArtsHub. She has a varied background in the arts as a writer, and has written everything from plays to website content. She's occasionally seen on stage and in short films herself. She particularly wants to see older women’s stories portrayed on the big and little screen. Liza is thrilled to be given this opportunity to make the transition from reviewer to critic proper.
